Getting an Italian Driver's License
Welcome to Expat Adventures!
Travel,
Food,
Teach
I would like to start this blog by declaring, first and foremost, that I am not, in fact, a blogger. Ok fine, I appreciate the irony of that statement, so let me clarify my intentions: here simply to endeavor to be a minimalist blogger. The Marie Kondo of bloggers, if you will. Put simply: I cook and I travel, I learn and I teach, and I exercise my creative juices when time permits. This site serves as a mere depository of my experiences for the reader who would like to try out something new, fight a bit of boredom, or live vicariously through the life of an American expat in Italy.
Please do not expect long, rambling explanations before recipes...we all know why you’re here: you just wanna eat something tasty!
Enjoy!

About me...Who is the expat?
Hi there, I'm Amanda! Originally from Minnesota, (then Chicago, then Rome, then Boston)... I am now making my home in Florence, Italy.
A lifelong learner and natural-born teacher, I love to engage in a variety of creative pursuits in my spare time. While I am no expert at these side ventures, I find that they make life more fulfilling.
After turning 35 on New Year's Day, 2021, I decided to embark on a virtual adventure into the bloggosphere.
Please join me on this journey of Travel, Food, and Teaching!

Amanda is an American expat living in Florence, Italy, where she teaches grades 6-10 Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. An avid traveler, animal lover, baker, homecook, and all-around nerd, Amanda loves to try new things and share her experiences with others.
